Connecting a Multi-Generational Workplace

July 15, 2013
Location: Arizona Community Foundation

There are four distinct generations in the workplace today. Most of us work closely with colleagues that span at least three, if not four of those generations and each generation brings their own views, opinions, and assumptions about the world to the workplace. But, despite the challenges of multiple generations in the workplace, how can we leverage the unique contributions and perspectives that each bring?

Charlie Boyce from Valley of the Sun United Way led the group through a PowerPoint presentation for a greater understanding of each generation to improve communication and workplace productivity.

Participants learned:
° Major characteristics of each of the four generations
° What each generation expects from the workplace
° A deepened appreciation for what everyone brings to the workplace
