How can you change the world in three minutes? That’s the question eight finalists had to answer at the sixth annual Fast Pitch on March 1, hosted by Social Venture Partners Arizona. This year’s winner of the SVPAZ award, a year of mentorship from partners and $25,000 was ONe TRUe LOVe (OTL).

“SVP was a dream come true,” OTL founder Krysten Aldridge said. “I sat in the audience in 2012 and I wondered if I would be on that stage. This is so surreal…It’s awesome and awkward because I have no frame of reference for how I feel.”

In her pitch, Alridge asked for $60,000 to buy a catering truck to feed the hungry and homeless with rescued and donated food. Between the award money and other donations, she is about halfway toward her goal.

“OTL is in an organization that is willing and ready to engage and benefit from the time and professional expertise of our SVP partners,” said SVPAZ executive director Terri Wogan Calderón. “It’s a great fit for us.”
