Collaboration in philanthropy can be difficult, and foundational factors that determine a partnership’s ultimate success are not always considered. What essential strategies do grantmaking organizations need to consider when working together to achieve meaningful impact?
At this session, AGF’s Southern Arizona Network will work with Heather Hiscox from Moves the Needle to practice five steps for creating authentic and powerful collaborative partnerships. This will be an interactive workshop that will allow members to work in teams to address uncertainty around local collaboration, explore the experience and feedback of colleagues in the room, and brainstorm bold and high-impact potential strategies for effective collaborations. Members will also identify key assumptions that must be tested in the earliest stages of collaboration and learn how to apply rapid evaluation of impact to influence their future work. Attendees will work closely with fellow members who serve southern Arizona to explore new opportunities for deeper impact, and leave with action items they can put immediately in place.
We hope you can attend this presentation as well as participate in our quarterly Southern Arizona Network meeting to share current projects, discuss meaningful opportunities to collaborate and strategize how to support each other’s work.
