Philanthropy Counts: Census 2020

20200221

Registration is required for all Arizona Grantmakers Forum events. We welcome board members, trustees and staff at all levels from Arizona Granmakers member organizations to attend.

The 2020 Census count in Arizona is less than two months away. Data from the surveys will drive key decisions that affect our communities including eligibility for increased federal funding, a possible legislative seat and local policymaking. What outreach efforts are underway and what role is philanthropy playing to ensure a fair and accurate count?

Please join your Arizona Grantmakers peers to hear from Luis Cardenas Camacho and Jannah Scott of the U.S. Census Bureau who will recap outreach and partnership efforts across the state and share what’s at stake for Arizona. Following their presentation, Janice Palmer of Helios Education Foundation and Arizona’s Complete Count Committee’s Philanthropic Partnerships Subcommittee will discuss philanthropy’s role in the census with the presenters and take questions from the audience.

To participate via teleconference, please contact Director of Member Engagement and Operations Kalisha Bass.
