Destination Boardroom: Engaging Employees for Board Service (Corporate Affinity Group Meeting)

Registration is required. This event is open only to AGF corporate members and prospective members. Staff at all levels from corporate foundations and giving programs are encouraged to attend.

Employees of businesses who serve on nonprofit boards develop in ways that positively change their behaviors, effectiveness and productivity in their jobs as soon as one to two years after beginning their board service, according to a recent study.

Join your fellow members for the next Arizona Grantmakers Forum Corporate Affinity Group meeting where we will uncover how to strengthen employee engagement and support the nonprofit community through board placement. Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits CEO Kristen Merrifield will highlight the Alliance’s employee board service programming and share relevant resources for corporate giving programs and foundations. We will also hear from Arizona Public Service Leader of Community Affairs Damon Gross who will share an overview of the employee board placement program at APS and lessons learned.

Afterward, corporate members will have a chance to ask questions and share their own experiences with employee board placement. All staff from AGF corporate giving programs and foundations are welcome to attend.
