20151104

GEO-learning-conf-2015bThis summer, some of our AGF members were among the 300 leaders in philanthropy who attended The Learning Conference 2015, hosted by Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO). The conference explored how grantmakers can learn more collaboratively, ensuring that nonprofits and other partners have the information they need to drive decisions that improve their work. The AGF Evaluating for Impact affinity group held a “coffee and share session” where conference attendees shared what they learned, why it’s relevant to Arizona and the ideas and resources that were inspired by the conference.

Key conference sessions on evaluation that were discussed:

  •   Using Participatory Evaluation to Advance Neighborhood Change
  •   A Partnership Model: Co-designing Evaluation with Grantees
  •   The State of Network Evaluation
  •   Live with Performance Measurement Mavens! A Journey toward Organizational Transformation
  •   Designing, Piloting and Evaluating Major Shifts in Grantmaking Strategy
  •   Learning with Diverse Communities through Culturally Responsive Evaluation
