A Better Normal for Arizona Series: Philanthropy’s Role in Supporting Nonprofits through Pandemic Recovery

June 12, 2020, 10:30 a.m. - Noon
Location: Videoconference

Registration is required for all Arizona Grantmakers Forum events. We welcome board members, trustees and staff at all levels from Arizona Granmakers member organizations to participate.

Grantmaking organizations across the state have been quick to respond to the immediate threats that nonprofits face from COVID-19 and its economic fallout. However, as Arizona Community Foundation President and CEO Steve Seleznow points out in his recent column in the Phoenix Business Journal, “a bigger, more expensive reconstructive period awaits us.”

Please join us for the first session in this series to assess the current nonprofit landscape with ASU Lodestar Executive Director Robert Ashcraft and Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits CEO Kristen Merrifield who will share recent survey findings on COVID-19’s impact to nonprofits. Steve Seleznow will lead the discussion with funders on how the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors can adapt together to create a better normal for the communities we collectively serve in Arizona.

We will send Zoom participation instructions to registrants prior to the videoconference. Details on future sessions in this series to follow.
